Job Description
We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Senior Data Center / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. The role is permanent position based in Zürich Canton with good home office allowance.
Your role:
• Evaluate, design, plan, implement & support an IT infrastructure & cloud related solutions with a global scope.
• Design a global datacenter infrastructure including cloud integration.
• Hold responsibility for a sustainable design within the datacenter space & its integration with other solution areas along the entire solution lifecycle.
• Drive transformation towards an Infrastructure-As-Code approach.
• Assess change requests for technical feasibility, effort & risk including cost estimation.
• Active carry out requirements engineering.
• Explore new technologies, assess their potential & initiate changes.
• Act as a Project Manager within the solution area & a technical lead in implementation projects.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects on different projects outside of the datacenter area.
• Review, refresh & evolve the datacenter infrastructure in three global datacenter locations.
Your Skills:
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering in enterprise environments.
• Skilled & experienced in Datacenter Infrastructure Design & Architecture & Project Management.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Azure, IaaS, PaaS & DevOps services.
• Good expertise in scripting, automating & orchestrating infrastructure related procedures.
• Any knowledge of VMWare SDDC solutions is considered a plus.
Your Profile:
• Completed University Degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Positive, self-motivated, adaptable, resilient, organized, results-oriented & a team-player
• Open for international travel depending on business needs (approximately 10%).
• Fluent in English (spoken & written), German language skills are considered very advantageous.
