Linux System Administrator

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Linux System Administrator. The role is a permanent position based in Zürich Canton & comes with good home office flexibility.

Your Role:

• Further develop our Linux systems & hold responsibility for the design, architecture & operation of complex Linux-based services such as GitLab, LAMP, Versioning Control, Matrix, Bitwarden & Confluence. Also ensure the stable, safe & highly available operation of these systems & continuously optimize them.
• Plan & implement the automation & orchestration solutions.
• Strategically develop existing infrastructure.
• Analyze & rectify faults, optimize performance & ensure the sustainable improvement of operating processes.
• Lead technical projects or actively participate in the introduction of new technologies & architectures.

Your Skills & Experience:

• At least 3 years of Professional experience in Linux System Administration / Engineering (RedHat), including experience in complex IT Environments.
• A strong knowledge of Linux Server Administration, Automation (e.g. Ansible), Container Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) & CI/CD processes.
• Experienced in the Security Aspects & Hardening of Linux Systems.
• Skilled in Scripting Languages (e.g. Bash, Python) & Version Control (Git).

Your Profile:

• Completed University Degree in the area of Computer Science or Similar.
• Committed, adaptable, efficient, high initiative, networked-thinking, structured & process, solution & customer-oriented.
• Open, a team-player, good communication skills & enthusiastic to share knowledge.
• Fluent in English & good understanding of German (to at least B1/B2 level) are mandatory requirements.
